JUEVES DECO ° DECO THURSDAY

¡Estamos de Enhorabuena! ¡Hoy cumplimos el primer mes de vida 2.0! 
Y deseábamos tanto la lluvia del arte que, al final el tiempo se ha puesto de nuestra parte, y no nos regala ni un rayo de sol... ¡Por fin vacaciones!

Cada último jueves de mes, dedicaremos estas lineas a la decoración de interiores. La mezcla de materiales, texturas y colores serán los protagonistas frente a la distribución o los elementos arquitectónicos de una vivienda.

Creemos que os podrá resultar útil e inspirador.

Today we have reasons to celebrate our first month of life 2.0! And the wished art rain has been time with rainny days, but we need a ray of sunshine and ... At least, we are on holidays!
Every last thursday of the month, we will dedicate these lines to interior decoration. The materials' mixtures, textures and colors are the protagonists against the distribution or the architectural elements of a house.
We believe that it could be useful and inspiring for you.

LA ARQUITECTURA DEL GRAFFITI º GRAFFITI'S ARCHITECTURE

Hoy llueve, tenía ganas. Acostumbrada a Pamplona... me encanta la lluvia y no soy una lagartija que soporte bien el calor. Las arquitecturas demolidas, están repletas de ellas. Es una pena. Son muchos los ejemplos de grandes edificios de la historia de la arquitectura, que han acabado en ruinas, desde el Partenón hasta la Pagoda de Fisac, aunque de ésta, no quede nada, ni sus lagartijas.
No hace falta ponernos en primera línea de la historia. Pongámonos en la última, en los edificios ya en ruina de nuestra calle. Siempre hay un edificio por hacer y otro que llevarnos por delante. Es mecánico. Todos guardamos recuerdos de alguno de ellos, cuando todavía mostraba toda su belleza, su cotidianidad.

I love rainy days, perhaps due to the years spent in Pamplona and I don't like sunbaths as a lizard. Demolished architecture is full of them. Many great historical buidings have ended in ruins, Partenon or Fisac's Pagoda are some examples of them, but from the last one there's nothing left.
Put yourself in the last row, looking at the ruined buildings of our street. Whenever a building is done, another one is pulled down. It's mechanical. We have memories of them, while they were still showing all its beauty.

EFECTO MUSEO º MUSEUM'S EFFECT

Amanece un nuevo día en la ciudad. En Pamplona, nos hemos levantado con lluvia, ¡qué ganas de oír llover, de sacar el paraguas y de oler la hierba húmeda!...aunque para quien hace aquí su vida diaria, estará deseando de ver el sol después de todos estos días. Y como de llover parece que nos vamos a extasiar, en este post viajaremos a la casi-siempre húmeda Bilbao.
Cuando uno piensa en Bilbao recae en su gastronomía, ese humor tan peculiar, la ría, San Mamés, etc., pero seguro que lo primero que pasa por nuestra mente es el Guggenheim.

A new day is dawning in Pamplona. We have got up with rain! cause of that we are looking forward to hearing the early rain, opening the umbrella and smelling the wet grass. As it seems, we will have non-stop rain these days, we are traveling through the blog to the almost always damp area of Bilbao.
When we think about Bilbao, we automatically think about the regional gastronomy, their peculiar sense of humor, the Nervión estuary or San Mamés football stadium and most of all, the Guggenheim Museum.

ARCOmadrid 2013 O EL NEGOCIO DEL ARTE EN TIEMPOS DE CRISIS ° ART BUSINESS IN TIMES OF CRISIS

La Feria Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo de más lustre y celebridad en España tuvo lugar durante los días 13 y 17 de febrero en Madrid y hasta el 24 de febrero, tuvimos la oportunidad de adquirir alguna de las piezas expuestas. Y sí, TUVIMOS. No sólo pueden adquirir obras la gentry, eso es cosa de siglos pasados. Ahora, podemos adquirir obras de arte por valor menor a 5.000 euros y el arte es un valor seguro, aunque en el contemporáneo sea más difícil discernir y descartar la aguja entre el pajar.
Este año fue Turquía la que como país invitado, con 10 galerías, dotó de carácter internacional a esta feria realizada un año más en recinto ferial de IFEMA. 
The International Exhibition of Contemporary Art knowed as ARCOmadrid took place during the 13th and 17th February in the spanish's capital. We had the opportunity to purchase some of the exhibited works with a value of less than 5,000 euros, and considering art as an insured value, is difficult to distinguish immediately art from what is not art. Turkey was the guest, providing an international role.

Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle en la Christopher Grimes Gallery, Santa Mónica. Manglano-Ovalle llegó a Madrid con la obra L'oiseau dans l'espace. Ya durante el verano de 2011, en el contexto de promoción del Museo Universidad de Navarra, Pamplona fue testigo de la performance urbana que este artista madrileño realizó en la ciudad y cuya instalación, acabó siendo expuesta en la Cocina gótica de la Catedral.
Inigo Manglano-Ovalle at Christopher Grimes Gallery, Santa Monica. Manglano-Ovalle arrived in Madrid with L'oiseau dans l'espace. Since the summer of 2011, in the context of promoting the University Museum of Navarra, Pamplona lived an urban performance by this artist from Madrid. Afterwards, the installation was showed in the Gothic Kitchen of Pamplona Cathedral.

Hoy nos gustaría compartir con vosotros una joya residencial de Hiroyuki Shinozaki Arquitectos, estudio japonés que he descubierto hace muy poco. Pero antes me gustaría decir,  que trataremos de no postear casas espectaculares y abrumadoras, frente al mar. A nuestros ventitantos y treintaypocos... sencillamente no vemos el momento de vivir en ellas.Y menos en los tiempos que corren.
Nos dedicaremos a publicar viviendas con detalles que las hacen especiales e interesantes y que sí merecen fijar nuestra atención.
Today we would like to share with you this gorgeous house from Hiroyuki Shinozaki Architects, a Japanese Studio which I discovered quite recently. Before it, we have to say that we will post special housing projects, those ones which deserve our attention because of the high level in construction details and interesting interior spaces.

Entramos en un nuevo mes, marzo, repleto de eventos, exposiciones, conferencias, mesas redondas, etc. que no debemos dejar escapar si tenemos la oportunidad de estar en las ciudades en que se celebran. Seleccionamos algunas de ellas.

The new month has started full of exhibitions, conferences, round tables we shouldn't miss if we have the chance to be in the cities where they are organized. We select few of them.

¡La cita imprescindible del año! Desde el próximo viernes, tenemos la oportunidad única de disfrutar de las más de 500 obras que se expondrán de los grandes nombres de los artistas de entreguerras, Georges Braque, Pablo Picasso, Jean Dubuffet, Marcel Duchamp, entre otros.
