CurioseART º WHAT'S NEW

17.2.14

Good morning! We start the week with energy. Today, like every month, we show you the images which you have been sending us over these weeks. These pictures are very curious:  modern designs, very creative and cultural initiatives, fun for kids and also true art works.

Aquí va la selección º  Here's the selection

As usual in this section, Banksy and his genius must be present. Today we bring you a collection of some of his work. His irreverent method of social criticism has made the transition from making vandalism to art.

We echo addition to this cultural initiative from Torafu Gallery at the Tokyo's Contemporary Art Museum. A pair of hands emerging from the Mona Lisa, secret passageways having output tables, canvases upside down. An art that can be touched, you can play with it. Run and play while interacting with art history. Isnt this a great idea? Right now, I'd go back to childhood again ....

And if we're talking about creativity, this alphabet has attracted our attention. As everyone, it starts with A, but A for Alvar Aalto and to Z for Zaha Hadid. Each of the letters have differents shapes and style.Ilustrated by Federico Babina traces the history of architecture with 26 of the most iconic names in the discipline.I already have something to give as a gift to my sister next year!

Finally, the paper art. Few weeks ago, one of the post, we focused on the kraft  from very different decorative postcards to a New Zealand cathedral. Today we bring you a few examples of Peter Callesen who we have loved ... I'm still asking how to do these works.

Do you like these curiosities from today's post? Did you had heard some of them? Do you like any in particular?

¡Nos vemos el jueves!
